Winter
Overnight parking is available in the Hotham Alpine Resort car park, with resort entry fee applying. This car park is serviced by a free village shuttle bus. Guests of Ski Club of East Gippsland may park for a limited time in the loading zone below the lodge whilst unloading their luggage.
An entry fee is applied to all vehicles and passengers of coaches and taxis entering Hotham Alpine Resort during the declared snow season. If you are driving your own car, diamond pattern chains must be carried during the declared snow season and fitted as directed. Chains may be hired before travelling to Mt Hotham, from ski outlets in Omeo, Bright, Harrietville etc. Resort Entry may be easily purchased online before travel, or from kiosks in the resort.
Visit Alpine Easy Access OR click here to go to the Hotham Resort Access Page before you leave home to organise your resort entry for minimal fuss. It’s a good idea to also check the antifreeze levels in your radiator, remember to use alpine diesel in your diesel vehicle, and pack a shovel in case you need to dig out your car!
SCEG caters to most of your needs. Your winter booking includes all bedding, towels and 2 hot meals per day (breakfast and dinner) - however - you will need to bring personal items such as toiletries, lap-top, snacks and drinks, games and books. Our lodge managers can help you organise almost everything else.
Lunch and Snacks - there are facilities available for making your lunch including microwave, toaster, sandwhich press, tea and coffee and mini fridge.
Skis and snowboards are stored in the ski storage room, which is kept locked. Guests require a code to access the lodge at all times. Each bedroom is fitted with a small safe allowing guests to secure personal items.
The club values our members and guests, and we ask that you be respectful of others and their right to enjoy their time in the lodge. SCEG is a great place for children, being located right on the Big D, home of kid’s snowzone, and we ask that children be under active adult supervision in and around the lodge at all times. A Code of Conduct is available in your room.
Smoking
SCEG is a smoke free environment.
All persons enter the lodge at their own risk, and the Ski Club of East Gippsland accepts no responsibility for personal injury, loss or theft of property.
